Term Paper Writing Over Speaking

Some students would prefer term paper writing over speaking because writing has rooms for rectification, for editing, for taking back a statement, whereas speaking has otherwise. Generally students would write more – they would isolate themselves from the public to brainstorm ideas and construct their write ups.
Before delivering any speech, a speaker should prepare by writing down the outline, keywords and ideas, depending on the preference. So speaking also requires writing, unless the speaker delivers an impromptu speech, but that is another story.
I am more of a writer than a speaker. I have stage fright which hinders me from delivering my speech. Whenever I stand in front of an audience, be it a class or a large audience, I cringe and I stutter. It is always a humiliating moment for me. I would tell my teacher I would rather resort for term paper writing than public speaking.
I once delivered an informative speech on how chocolates can kill dogs. I started my speech with a rhetorical question, but it did not sound like a question. Although the topic seemed very interesting, I made it the otherwise. I did not give justice to the topic. I told myself that I would choose term paper writing a thousand times over speaking.
Writing is very far from speaking. But writing leaves no excuses for grammatical and spelling errors, and it requires research and knowledge. It is okay since nobody can see me while I write. I write with my innermost thoughts and inspiration. I cannot just be very inspired when I speak. My emotions would carry me away.
Writing gives me the opportunity to think and be radical sometimes. It gives me the chance to rectify the mistakes I committed and allows me to make up for what I have missed. Imagine when somebody commits errors in speaking. A single mistake could change the attitude of the viewers towards the speech, and we can only use our imagination when the speaker gets intimidated. I am very gullible when I speak.
